Your Role: The Heart of Our Client’s Financial Success 

As the Bookkeeping Manager, you’ll play a critical role in helping our clients maintain accurate and timely financial records. You’ll be leading a team of five, and your contributions will ensure our clients run their businesses smoothly. Here’s what you’ll be doing: 

Leadership & Team Development: 
Lead and mentor a team of bookkeepers, providing guidance on workflow, individual performance, and career development. You’ll lead by example in both technical and interpersonal aspects. 

Client Relations & Service: 
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their accounting needs are met, and proactively providing advice and support on day-to-day bookkeeping tasks. 

Technical Expertise: 
Handle a range of full-cycle accounting functions for clients, including Payroll, T4/T5 preparation, bank reconciliations, and governmental reporting. Be the go-to expert for accounting software, and ensure your clients are well-equipped to use their tools efficiently. 

Project & Time Management: 
Oversee and manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring budgets, deadlines, and internal standards are met while keeping the team on track. 

Training & Development: 
Lead training sessions for your team and clients on software usage and industry best practices. Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends to ensure RHN CPA continues to offer top-tier services. 

Continuous Improvement: 
Contribute to RHN CPA's growth by helping streamline internal processes, improve client service, and foster a culture of learning and development within your team. 

 

What You Bring to the Table: Your Experience & Skills 

Relevant Experience: 
You have solid bookkeeping experience, with public practice experience being an asset. You’re a problem solver and a self-starter who thrives on delivering results. 

Leadership Skills: 
You’ve led teams before and understand how to motivate, develop, and support a group of professionals. You believe in coaching and mentoring and know that great leadership drives success. 

Software Proficiency: 
You’re experienced with accounting software like QuickBooks (Desktop/Online), Sage50, Xero, and CaseWare. You’ve worked in a cloud-based, paperless environment and are comfortable leveraging technology to improve efficiency. 

Technical Expertise: 
You know the ins and outs of payroll, T4/T5 reporting, and government remittances (GST/HST, PST). You’re detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of accounting regulations. 

Communication: 
Your written and spoken English is impeccable, and you excel at client-facing communications, providing clear explanations and building strong relationships.
